MVM is an independent Montessori school. That is, we are not affiliated with any group. The founding philosophy was and is to provide quality Montessori classes supported by a warm and nurturing care program. We now have firm roots in the community and offer a rich and diverse program.

About the program:
MONTE VISTA MONTESSORI
Monte Vista Montessori offers affordable half-day and full-day programs 5 days a week for children ages 3-5.

HAFT-DAY PROGRAM
The haft-day Montessori program meets the needs of children 3 years to 5 years’ old who are just entering Montessori. In this class they will become familiar with the classroom routine and gain the following skills:
- Daily Living Skills in the Practical Life Area;
- Sensorial Knowledge – colors, shapes, dimensions;
- Phonics – Learning the Sounds of the Alphabet;
- Number concepts;
- Beginning Writing Skills;
The three-hour program includes a free – choice work period, individual child lesson, group time, outdoor play. The average size of the class is small class size that support personalized care.
FULL DAY PROGRAM
- Nap for young kid – 3 years old
- AFTERNOON CULTURAL PROGRAM – for children 4 – 5 years of age who do not requires afternoon nap.
When a child becomes four years old, a parent may wish to add the afternoon CULTURAL CLASS to their child’s morning class. The Cultural Class focus on Montessori activities:
- Geography;
- Natural sciences (Zoology – animals and Botany – plant);
- Art, cooking and music.
Our school has a particularly rich curriculum in all these areas, and our Cultural Class has been one of the special traditions of our school.
SUMMER PROGRAM
Each year we have a Summer Program for six weeks after the 4th of July. Each summer a theme for the program is chosen, such as:
- Insects,
- Dinosaurs,
- Ocean Life,
- the Rain Forest, etc.
This program offers a full range Montessori classroom along with cultural materials based on each summer’s theme.

- Outdoor Learning
Maria Montessori felt strongly about the connection between indoor and outdoor classrooms. She wanted the indoor and outdoor classroom to be seamless. Montessori activities lend themselves to the outdoor education environment.
